On the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Special Assistant to the Inspection Team Shoaib Mirza, designated to oversee administrative and security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram gatherings and mourning processions in Sargodha Division, conducted a detailed visit to Kot Momin and Bhalwal along with Regional Police Officer Muhammad Shahzad Asif Khan and Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali.

District Police Officer Sohaib Ashraf, Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rana Muhammad Abu Bakar, Assistant Commissioners, and officers from relevant departments were also present during the visit.

The Special Assistant, RPO, and Commissioner inspected the routes of the main Muharram processions, Imambargahs, venues of religious gatherings, and other sensitive installations in Kot Momin and Bhalwal. Officials briefed the delegation that patchwork on procession routes, sanitation measures, restoration of streetlights, removal of encroachments, and other administrative tasks had been completed. CCTV cameras have been installed and activated at all key locations, while live monitoring arrangements are also fully operational.

Later, a meeting of the Tehsil Peace Committee was held in Bhalwal. The meeting was attended by the RPO Sargodha, Commissioner Sargodha Division, Deputy Commissioner, DPO, members of the Core Committee of the District Peace Committee, and other relevant officials. The participants reviewed security measures, inter-sect harmony, and overall law and order arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram.

Speaking on the occasion, RPO Muhammad Shahzad Asif Khan stated that Sargodha Region Police had finalized all necessary measures to provide foolproof security for Muharram processions, religious gatherings, and other events. He emphasized that all institutions are fully committed to maintaining peace, ensuring public safety, and promoting religious harmony throughout the holy month.
