Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar chaired a meeting at the Conference Hall to review arrangements for the 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal celebrations, including cleanliness, beautification and decoration across the district.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (MS) Ghazala Kanwal, Assistant Commissioner Khushab Tariq Mahmood, the CEOs of the District Council and Municipal Committee Khushab, and officers from various departments attended the meeting. The Assistant Commissioners of Noorpur Thal, Quaidabad and Nowshera participated through video link.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Jahanzeb Hussain Labar said that, in accordance with the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ would be celebrated with religious fervour, devotion, respect and dignity.

He directed all Assistant Commissioners, Chief Executive Officers and heads of departments to decorate government office buildings, their surroundings and exterior walls with green decorative lights.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed the concerned authorities to beautifully decorate Khushab Kabli Gate, Masjid Bilal, the Tehsil Office Khushab, Sarwar Shaheed Library in Jauharabad and other important public and government locations with green lights and buntings. He specifically directed the CEOs of the Municipal Committees of Jauharabad and Khushab to illuminate all sides and exterior walls of Sarwar Shaheed Library with green lights.

Dr. Labar further directed the concerned authorities to ensure the best possible cleanliness arrangements along the routes of Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ processions in Khushab and Jauharabad. He also ordered regular water sprinkling along the procession routes.
He directed the authorities to ensure effective cleanliness arrangements on College Road, Bypass Road, Hospital Road, Imam Bargah Hussainia Road, Main Bazaar, Southern Bazaar, Shabbir Petroleum Road, G-Type Colony, Block 6 Jauharabad, Sugar Mills Jauharabad Main Road and other areas of the cities.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the CEOs of the Municipal Committees, officers of the Suthra Punjab Programme and other relevant departments to ensure comprehensive cleanliness arrangements in markets, bus stands, parks, streets, neighbourhoods, squares, intersections and all other public places in Khushab and Jauharabad.

He instructed all concerned officers to complete all arrangements for the 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal well ahead of time and stressed that no negligence or lapse would be tolerated in matters relating to cleanliness, security, decoration and other arrangements.
