The opening ceremony of the School Cricket Championship, organized under the auspices of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Bhakkar Ehsan Ali Jamali. Officers and representatives from the Education Department, Sports Department and District Cricket Association attended the ceremony.
The Deputy Commissioner distributed new cricket kits, provided by the PCB, among representatives of the participating schools and formally inaugurated the championship by playing a shot.
Speaking on the occasion, Ehsan Ali Jamali said that sports play an important role in promoting discipline, teamwork and positive thinking among young people while also helping to polish and develop their abilities.
The participants appreciated the PCB’s initiative and said that the School Cricket Championship would provide talented young cricketers of District Bhakkar with excellent opportunities to showcase their skills and pursue their sporting potential.
