India using torture as tool to stifle Kashmiris’ voice for self-determination: Report

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, India is using physical, mental and psychological torture at a large scale to stifle Kashmiris’ voice for self-determination.

A report released by Kashmir Media Service on the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture today,  revealed that the troops during their unabated acts of state terrorism martyred over ninety-six thousands Kashmiris including over seventy-two in custody and fake encounters since January 1989 till date.

APHC-AJK arranged a seminar in Islamabad in connection with the the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture wherein speakers said that India is using violence against innocent Kashmiris as a state policy.

On the other hand, APHC Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt in a statement in Srinagar termed the Biden-Modi joint statement as “seriously misleading”.

Masarrat Butt who is languishing in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail, deplored that the joint communique had no mention of Indian state terrorism, arrests of thousands innocent Kashmiris and blatant desecration of religious places by the occupation troops.

Meanwhile, India’s dreaded National Investigation Agency today conducted raids at multiple locations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The NIA sleuths along with the personnel of paramilitary and police barged into houses in  Bandipora, Kulgam, Pulwama and Shopian districts of the Valley and harassed the inmates.

The raids were particularly conducted on the houses of the people supporting the Kashmiris’ righteous demand for right to self-determination.

Seething with anger, people in Zadoora area of Pulwama district continued their protests against the Indian soldiers, associated with Indian Army’s 50 Rashtriya Rifles, barging into the Zadoora Jamia Masjid and forcing the worshipers to chant “Jai Shri Ram” and “Bharat Maata Ki Jai” slogans over loudspeakers.

The resident of the area  said the army also vandalised the Jamia Masjid, the largest in the south Kashmir village. The incident triggered strong anti-India protests in the area.
