Minister for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Dr. Nadeem Jan says the government has recalled the entire batch of the drug, which reportedly led to the outbreak of conjunctivitis among people.

Talking to the media along with Punjab Health Minister Jamal Nasir Malik, in Islamabad today, he said an investigation has been ordered into the matter and findings of the probe will be shared with the people. He said a legal action has been initiated in this regard.

Dr Nadeem Jan further said the best medical assistance will be provided to the affected people.

Regarding the overall condition of Dengue in the country, he said the situation is well under control and the number of dengue cases is significantly lower as compared to the previous year.

Commenting on the availability of necessary drugs, the Minister for National Health Services said legal action is being taken against profiteers involved in selling medicines at higher prices.

The Punjab Health Minister informed that there is no dearth of medicines in the market and the government will ensure their availability for the public.
