Mohsin Riaz produced an undefeated century at Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium as Sialkot and Islamabad drew the match on the final day of play for the fifth round of the Hanif Mohammad Trophy 2023-24. The previous dayKarachi Blues defeated Bahawalpur by 51 runs at the Sheikh Khalifa Sports Complex in Rahim Yar Khan. At Mirpur Cricket Stadium, Larkana lost against Quetta, by an innings and 150 runs. At Multan Cricket Stadium, Abbottabad crafted a victory over Hyderabad after they were tasked to chase 122 runs in the final innings.

Sialkot v Islamabad at Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium:

At Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium, Sialkot resumed their second batting attempt trailing by 270 runs. They were 21 for one at the day’s start. On the back of performances by Mohsin Riaz (103 not out, 185b, 8x4s, 2x6s), Mohammad Waleed (72 not out, 126b, 8x4s) and Fahad Jamil (48, 133b, 4x4s), Sialkot’s score grew to 298 runs in 96 overs.

They lost five wickets in the process; Umair Afridi got two wickets while Haris Hassan, Syed Khizer Shah and Mohammad Arsal Sheikh bagged one each.

The match was drawn.
