The UN Security Council (UNSC) has rejected a Russian resolution that condemned violence and terrorism against civilians and called for immediate measures to resolve the conflict in Gaza.
Russia China, United Arab Emirates, Mozambique and Gabon voted in favour of the resolution while the United States, Britain, France and Japan against it. Six countries abstained.
