
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has confirmed that Pakistan and India have mutually agreed to an immediate ceasefire, which officially came into effect at 4:30 PM local time.
Speaking to Geo News, Ishaq Dar verified the development, stating that Pakistan remains committed to peace but will respond firmly to any act of aggression from India. He expressed gratitude to all countries that contributed to facilitating the ceasefire agreement.
He also noted that the U.S. Secretary of State played a significant role in the diplomatic efforts leading to the de-escalation.

U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that both nations have agreed to a ceasefire. He revealed that he and the U.S. Vice President had been in direct contact with senior officials from both countries over the past 48 hours to help de-escalate tensions.
Deputy Prime Minister Dar reiterated Pakistan’s long-standing commitment to peace in the region, emphasizing that this has always been pursued without compromising national sovereignty or territorial integrity.
He concluded by saying that he is pleased to announce that Pakistan and India have agreed to a ceasefire without delay.
