Minister for Education Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has emphasized that providing quality education for students and comprehensive training for teachers are among the government’s top priorities.

He was speaking during a meeting with UNESCO Chief in Pakistan, Fuad Pashayev, who called in him Islamabad on Wednesday.

The Minister for Education expressed his gratitude to UNESCO for its continued support and collaboration with the Ministry of Education, particularly regarding initiatives to promote girls’ education in Pakistan.

During the meeting, issues faced by out-of-school children, the progress of UNESCO’s initiatives on education, culture, and social issues, and the overall development of the education sector were discussed.

The UNESCO Chief reaffirmed the organization’s unwavering commitment to supporting the people of Pakistan in their recovery and reconstruction efforts following the recent devastating floods.
