President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minster Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to support the teachers’ community.

In their separate messages on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day today, they paid rich tribute to the teachers for their valuable services in nation building.

In his message, the President termed teachers as the custodians of knowledge and values, guiding young minds toward truth, justice, and excellence.

In his message, the Prime Minister said it is the responsibility of both the federal and provincial governments to improve professional skills of teachers and ensure their economic well-being.

Meanwhile, this year, World Teachers’ Day celebrations will centre on the theme “Recasting teaching as a collaborative profession” highlighting the transformative potential of collaboration for teachers, schools and education systems.
