The Senate was informed today that there is a transparent quota system for foreign scholarships for students belonging to all the provinces.
Responding to a question during the Question Hour, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhary said only a few number of students are unable to avail scholarships that too due to some technical reasons like rejection of visa or the other. He said no discrimination in anyway whatsoever is done to students.
Tariq Fazal Chaudhry assured the House that government would ensure implementation of allocated quota to students of every province in every medical college.
To another question about vacant position of Rector of International Islamic University, the Minister said summary to this effect has been sent to the Prime Minister and the appointment will be made as soon as possible. He, however, clarified that there is no lapse in functioning of the University as it has a President.
