Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed gratitude to overseas Pakistanis for sending record remittances amounting to 3.6 billion dollars in December 2025, compared to the previous year.
In a statement today, he said a 16.5 percent increase in remittances over the same period last year reflects the strong confidence of overseas Pakistanis in the government’s policies.
Shehbaz Sharif said by rejecting propaganda and continuing to send remittances for the country’s construction and development, overseas Pakistanis have set a high example of their love for the motherland.
Declaring overseas Pakistanis as the nation’s valuable asset, the Prime Minister said he, along with the entire nation, takes pride in them.
He further said initiatives for the welfare and well-being of overseas Pakistanis remain among the government’s top priorities.
