The Kingdom secures the second position globally and the first in the Arab world in humanitarian aid for 2025

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranks second globally and first in the Arab world in providing humanitarian aid among donor countries for 2025, according to the United Nations Financial Tracking Service (FTS). The Kingdom secured the first place among donor countries for humanitarian assistance provided to the Republic of Yemen, contributing 49.3% of the total aid received by Yemen. Furthermore, it ranked second among donor countries providing assistance to the Syrian Arab Republic.

In the newly released 2024 report for development assistance, the Kingdom ranked second among non-member donor countries (out of 16 countries) and 10th overall among both member and non-member donor countries (out of 48 countries) in terms of the total volume of development aid provided.

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Adviser at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), emphasized in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that the Kingdom’s leadership in the global humanitarian scene is a result of the unlimited support for humanitarian and relief work from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister (may Allah protect them). He noted that this reflects the values of giving and benevolence inherent in the Kingdom and its people, documenting Saudi Arabia’s illustrious history of generosity and its commitment to extending a helping hand to needy nations worldwide while prioritizing human life and dignity.

His Excellency explained that these figures were documented directly on international platforms via the “Saudi Aid Platform,” which is considered the largest assistance database in the region. This institutional approach-supported by the insightful vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the close follow-up of HRH the Crown Prince, and coordination with relevant Saudi entities- contributes to achieving a tangible global impact and has played a pivotal role in the Kingdom attaining these advanced ranks in international classifications.

Dr. Al Rabeeah concluded his statement by affirming that the Kingdom remains an “inexhaustible river of giving and a beacon of goodness.” He stressed that Saudi Arabia will continue its mission of assisting the needy and those affected across the globe. He prayed to the Almighty to sustain the blessings of security, safety, prosperity, and progress for the homeland and to preserve its wise leadership.
