A crime meeting was held under the chair of District Police Officer (DPO) Khushab Dr. Ammara Shirazi to review the law and order situation and police performance. During the meeting, the participants reviewed measures for the eradication of crime, as well as the recovery and conviction rate in cases related to crimes against property.
Addressing the meeting, the DPO directed the officers to accelerate the crackdown against organized and active criminal gangs, proclaimed offenders, and drug dealers. She emphasized that the timely registration of FIRs and investigation strictly on merit must be ensured in all cases.
Dr. Ammara Shirazi further instructed that under-investigation cases should be finalized on merit and their challans must be submitted to the courts within the stipulated time. She added that the effective resolution of citizens’ complaints at the police station level is the top priority and must be ensured in every circumstance.
All SDPOs, SHOs, and heads of branches of the police office were also present on the occasion.
