Government Graduate College for Women, Khushab, organized a dignified ceremony on August 5 to observe Kashmir Exploitation Day. Deputy Director Colleges, District Khushab, Professor Dr. Erum Iqbal, attended the event as the chief guest, while Professor Malik Ejaz, Principal of Government Associate College Nowshera, was the guest of honor. The ceremony was attended by the college principal, Mrs. Hafsa Habib, faculty members, and a large number of students.
During the ceremony, the speakers highlighted the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir following the events of August 5, 2019. They discussed the denial of the fundamental human rights of the Kashmiri people and their right to self-determination. The speakers emphasized that the Kashmir dispute should be resolved peacefully in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions and international law.
Addressing the participants, Professor Dr. Erum Iqbal expressed unwavering solidarity with the people of Kashmir and said that Kashmir Exploitation Day serves as an opportunity to renew the commitment to justice, peace, and the promotion of human rights. She added that the people of Pakistan stand firmly with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their struggle for their legitimate rights.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Malik Ejaz stressed the importance of creating awareness among the younger generation about the Kashmir issue. He said that educating youth about the Kashmir cause would strengthen national unity and reinforce their commitment to the just struggle of the Kashmiri people.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Mrs. Hafsa Habib, Principal of Government Graduate College for Women, Khushab, thanked the distinguished guests, the Deputy Director Colleges, faculty members, and all participants for attending the event. Special prayers were also offered for the people of Kashmir, the peace, security, and prosperity of Pakistan, and lasting peace in the region.
