Hafiz Shaukat Ali, Commissioner Sargodha, accompanied by Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry, visited various centers of the Nigahban Ramzan Bazaar, Model Rehri Bazaar, and the “Maryam Ke Mehman Dastarkhwan” in the city.
During the visit, the Commissioner reviewed the availability of essential food items, official price lists, and the quality standards being maintained in both bazaars. He also obtained direct feedback from shoppers. Prices of vegetables, fruits, flour, sugar, and other daily necessities were checked, and strict instructions were issued that overcharging beyond the officially notified rates would not be tolerated.
The Commissioner also inspected the “Maryam Ke Mehman Dastarkhwan” facilities established at Dr. Faisal Masood Teaching Hospital and the General Bus Stand. He examined the distribution of Iftar boxes, the quality of food, and the cleanliness arrangements. Directions were given to ensure food quality and transparent distribution.
He emphasized that regular monitoring of Ramzan Bazaars and Dastarkhwan centers would continue to ensure genuine relief for the citizens during the holy month of Ramadan.
