
Pakistan has intensified diplomatic engagement with Egypt and Türkiye, underscoring the urgent need for de-escalation, restraint, and adherence to international law to preserve regional peace and stability amid escalating tensions.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held separate telephonic conversations with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to discuss the evolving regional situation.
In his discussion with Egypt, Dar and his counterpart expressed deep concern over the deteriorating security environment and reaffirmed the strong and longstanding ties between Pakistan and Egypt. Both leaders emphasized the importance of constructive diplomatic engagement and agreed to maintain close coordination and continued consultations in support of regional peace and security.
During his call with the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with Türkiye and its commitment to closely coordinate efforts aimed at promoting stability in the region. The two leaders exchanged views on ongoing attacks, including the recent attempt targeting Türkiye, and stressed the urgent need for restraint and de-escalation to prevent further escalation.
Pakistan reiterated its commitment to working with friendly countries to support diplomatic solutions and safeguard peace and stability in the region.
