Engineer Malik Tahir Nadeem Baghour, Coordinator to Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Communications and Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Engineer Malik Gul Asghar Khan Baghour, has said that true development is measured not merely by the construction of roads and buildings, but by ensuring access to clean drinking water, quality healthcare, education, and modern infrastructure.

Speaking during a media briefing at Pakistan House with Noorpur Thal Press Club President Seth Samar Sultan and other journalists, Engineer Malik Tahir Nadeem Baghour stated that MNA Engineer Malik Gul Asghar Khan Baghour is committed to delivering practical development projects that directly improve the lives of the people rather than making symbolic announcements.

He said that the Thal region has suffered from a severe shortage of safe drinking water for many years, making the installation of water filtration plants a top priority. As part of the ongoing development initiative, a dozen filtration plants are being installed in the villages of Choha, Takuuch, Kali Beas, Chosu, Goley Wali, Okhli Mola, Nawan Log, Chak 40, Chak 48, Rodha, Hamooka, and Chan, benefiting thousands of families with access to clean and safe drinking water.

He further revealed that additional filtration plants are also planned for Dhammak, Rahdari, Jhar Kal, and several densely populated settlements, demonstrating that development efforts are being extended across the entire region rather than being confined to a few localities.

Engineer Malik Tahir Nadeem Baghour emphasized that areas such as Thal, Kadhi, and Mahaar have long remained deprived of essential public facilities. He expressed confidence that the timely and transparent completion of these projects would significantly improve living standards while reducing waterborne diseases caused by contaminated drinking water.

He added that sustainable development should not be limited to water supply alone but must also include improved road networks, modern communication infrastructure, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and employment opportunities. He expressed hope that the proposed mega development projects would soon move from planning to implementation, enabling the people of Thal to enjoy facilities comparable to those available in more developed regions of Punjab.

Highlighting the importance of transparency, he said that keeping the public informed through the media strengthens public confidence and ensures accountability in the execution of development projects.

He concluded by stating that sustainable progress requires the collective efforts of elected representatives, government institutions, the media, and the public. If all stakeholders fulfill their responsibilities with honesty and dedication, Thal has the potential to emerge as one of Punjab’s rapidly developing regions.
