Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir is currently in the United Kingdom, where he visited Warminster and Lark Hill Garrison, as part of his official engagements at the invitation of British Army Chief General Roland Walker. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the visit is aimed at enhancing military cooperation between Pakistan and the UK.
During his visit, General Munir was briefed on the British Army’s modernization plan, with a particular focus on the Deep Reck Strike Brigade. The Army Chief also had the opportunity to observe cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence and unmanned systems, which are integral to the modernization efforts of the British military.
General Munir had arrived in the UK two days ago to participate in the 7th Regional Stability Conference at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. At the conference, he is set to deliver a keynote address on the theme of “Emerging Global Order and the Future of Pakistan.”
The ISPR highlighted that this conference serves as a critical platform for dialogue at the Pakistan-UK military level. It brings together policymakers, civil and military leadership, as well as representatives of think tanks from both nations to discuss matters of mutual interest and promote cooperation.
The annual conference plays an essential role in fostering stronger defense and security ties between the two countries.
