Russia says military action in Ukraine is unavoidable pledging that it’s military aims to protect people in rebel-controlled areas of eastern Ukraine.
President Vladimir Putin’s comments came after he flew into Russia’s far east Amur region where he met Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
He said Russia’s goals in the conflict will be achieved.
