Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah says the federal government has summoned Pakistan Army for security of the Red Zone in Islamabad.

In a tweet, while sharing the notification of the Interior Ministry, he said among the buildings that will be protected by Army are the Supreme Court, Parliament House, Prime Minister House, Presidency, Pakistan Secretariat and Diplomatic enclaves.

According to the Notification, the exact number of troops to be deployed will be workedout by the Army authorities in consultation with Islamabad Capital Territory Administration.

In another tweet, the Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said the PTI Chief Imran Khan has committed contempt of court by violating the decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

He said the Supreme Court has given conditional permission to PTI to hold a gathering at Sector H-9 Islamabad but Imran Khan is holding the gathering at D-Chowk.

The Interior Minister said as per Imran Khan’s track record, he never respected any court or institution.

He said the miscreants are also attacking policemen from time to time and force them to use tear gas to disperse the trouble makers.

Rana Sanaullah said establishment of law and order and protection of life and property of the citizens is the prime responsibility of the state.

He said D-Chowk has been sealed off due to security concerns.
