Federal Minister for Energy Khurram Dastgir says the government is focusing on solar energy to tackle energy crisis.
Addressing a news conference in Gujranwala on Sunday, he said that a comprehensive policy is being formulated to shift all government buildings on solar panels.
The Minister said that despite sharp gap between demand and supply of electricity, uninterrupted power is being provided to industries. He said that load shedding cannot be ceased during Eid-ul-Azha but efforts are being made to decrease it significantly.
Responding to a question, Khurram Dastgir said that the previous government did not add even a single megawatt of electricity in the national grid.
