Pakistan beat hosts Australia by one wicket to qualify for Over 60’s Cricket World Cup (45 overs) final on Monday. 

Set to chase 216 runs, Pakistan was well supported by Muhammad Aslam who scored 63 off 68 balls. 

Aslam set a perfect tone for the Green Shirts in the run-chase. Tahir Rashid contributed 41 runs while becoming a helping hand for Aslam. Syed Kazmi scored 30 while Mohammad Pakhali made 28. 

For Australia, Mark Trafford-Walker and Peter Jodd bagged two wickets. 

Earlier, Peter Jensen (91) and Eric Higgins (71) led Australia to 215-6. The two batters put the hosts in a commanding position. 

Pakhali bagged three wickets for Pakistan whereas Mohammad Yaqoob and Mohammad Younus shared a wicket apiece.
