The third meeting of Census Monitoring Committee was held in Islamabad, with Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal in the chair.
The meeting reviewed preparations for holding the seventh digital Population and Housing Census.
The Planning Minister directed Pakistan Bureau of Statistics and NADRA to revise census training and tablet procurement respectively to complete the process well in time.
He stressed upon timely completion of census and consultation with all stakeholders like Election Commission, civil society, academia, politicians and demographers to ensure consensus.
