Zulfiqar Badar (Spokesman, Foreign Minister): Pakistan is facing a number of challenges at this point of time, both internally and at the diplomatic front. After the conclusion of the COP27 conference, the visit of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to Saudi Arabia means a lot. We all know that the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Pakistan is expected soon and the visit of foreign minister to Saudi Arabia is of key significance. After the last visit of Saudi Crown Prince to Pakistan, there were some communication gaps between both the countries. The visit of foreign minister to Saudi Arabia is part of the political engagement of Pakistan with other countries. Saudi Arabia is one of our key partners and has always provided financial support to Pakistan in difficult times. We must be hopeful for the positive outcomes of this visit. Bilawal Bhutto has done a lot of homework as far as diplomatic engagement is concerned, particularly with the Middle Eastern countries.

Dr. Salma Malik (IR Expert): Saudi Arabia is an important part for our foreign policy. Pakistan gives great value to its multidimensional relations with Saudi Arabia. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is bringing radical changes in the kingdom that other countries need to emulate. Saudi Arabia has always contributed to Pakistan’s economy, stability and the well-being of people. Over the years, the two countries have also succeeded in developing a unique synergy for mutual development. Saudi Arabia is home to the largest number of Pakistani expatriates. Saudi Arabia has provided generous financial support to Pakistan in times of crises.
