A five-day anti-polio campaign will begin in Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan divisions and Peshawar, Nowshera and Swat districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Friday.

According to Emergency Operation Center Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, more than 3.1 million children up to five years of age will be administered anti-polio drops.

About fifteen thousand teams have been constituted which will visit door to door to ensure each and every child is vaccinated.

Similarly, polio teams will also be available at Afghan Refugee Camps, railway stations, bus stops and other public places for administering polio drops.

Strict security measures will be ensured for the protection of polio teams during the campaign.
