Atleast thirteen persons lost their lives in a trailer-van collision at Indus Highway, near Sehwan Sharif on Monday.

The accident took place due to the overspending of a trailer that hit a van.

Seven persons were also critically injured and the rescue teams shifted them to a nearby hospital for immediate medical treatment.

Meanwhile, in another road accident five persons lost their lives and twenty others were injured at Torhi Fatak in Jamshoro District this afternoon.

According to the district police, the accident took place when a speedy coach overturned at the National Highway.

The dead bodies and injured have been shifted to the Taluka Hospital Manjhand.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of lives in a traffic incident when a coaster of pilgrims going from Jamshoro to Sehwan met an accident.

In a statement on Monday, he prayed higher status in heaven for the departed souls and commiserated with the bereaved families. He also prayed for the early recovery of the injured and directed the authorities concerned to provide all possible medical assistance to them.
