Minister for Energy Engineer Khurram Dastgir says PTI government violated agreement with IMF, which forced the coalition government to set aside a huge amount of 7,000 billion rupees for payment of foreign loans.

Addressing a press briefing in Gujranwala on Saturday, he regretted that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project had been paralyzed during the Imran Khan government, which inflicted huge losses on the nation.

Regarding elections, the Minister said that decision on elections would be made by the ruling coalition Pakistan Democratic Movement as per the Constitution. He said an amount had also been set aside in the budget for elections.

Khurram Dastgir said the government would provide 68 billion rupees to farmers of Balochistan for installation of tube-wells. He said 70 billion rupees would be allocated for electricity consumers in Azad Jammu & Kashmir this year. He said a relief package of Rs39 billion would be given to the people of FATA.
