A delegation of the United Nations Development Program led by Resident Representative Samuel Rizk, called on Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Azam Khan in Peshawar today.

During the meeting, cooperation between UNDP and the provincial government on matters related to development in the region, especially in the merged tribal areas came under discussion.

The Chief Minister emphasized the need for special attention from donor agencies, including UNDP, to address security challenges in merged districts.

He underlined the need to strengthen the police force to ensure peace and security in the province.

The UNDP representative lauded the cooperation of provincial government for the execution of the UNDP projects.
