The Caretaker Minister for Railways Shahid Ashraf Tarar has sought a comprehensive business plan to increase revenue of Pakistan Railways.
Chairing a meeting in Lahore on Sunday, he directed to utilize all available resources efficiently besides conversion of all railways infrastructure on solar power.
He also directed to submit a plan to dispose of unserviceable coaches and locomotives.
The Minister said safe journey is the top priority and strict action will be taken in case of any negligence.
The meeting decided to upgrade the post of Railway Police Constable to Grade Seven.
The Caretaker Railways Minister was briefed about performance of department and future reform plans.
