The Afghan embassy in New Delhi has been closed permanently due to persistent challenges from Indian government and a lack of diplomatic support.

The decision follows the embassy’s stopping of operations on September 30th.

In a statement, the embassy said the earlier decision of closing the operations on 30th of September was made in the hope that the Indian government’s stance would evolve favorably for the continuation of the operation.
