Minister for Human Rights Khalil George has formally inaugurated the Transit Advertising Campaign about violence against women.

During the sixteen-day campaign banners will be displayed on all trains from Khyber to Karachi regarding awareness about violence against women.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony held at National Library Islamabad today, Minister for Human Rights Khalil George said that the existence of women is essential for the survival of the world.

Regarding violence against women, he said that timely justice makes any country free from violence. Violence happens in every country, but justice must be done.

He said Pakistan is probably the only country where women are given immense respect.

On the occasion, Prime Minister’s Special Adviser on Human Rights Mashal Malik and Chairperson Nilofar Bakhtiar also addressed separately and demanded that women should be considered as human beings.
