All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has paid glowing tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs on 34th anniversary of Handwara massacre, being observed today.
In a statement in Srinagar today, APHC spokesperson said that on this day in 1990, Indian forces fired indiscriminately on a peaceful procession in Handwara martyring twenty-one unarmed Kashmiris.
APHC leaders Shahid Saleem, Farooq Ahmed, Advocate Arshad Iqbal and human rights activist Ahsan Untoo, while commemorating the victims, appealed to the international community, especially the United Nations, to exert pressure on India to conduct thorough investigations into the massacre and killings of other innocent Kashmiris.
