Pakistan and Azerbaijan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to deepen cooperation in the legal and judicial field.

The MoU was signed during the visit of Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar to Baku, Azerbaijan.

The Federal Minister held high-level meetings with senior leadership in Azerbaijan. He called on Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov. Both leaders emphasized the importance of legal diplomacy in enhancing bilateral cooperation.

Azam Nazeer’s Tarar meeting with Azerbaijan’s Minister for Justice, Farid Ahmadov focussed on institutional exchanges and the rule of law.

The Law Minister also met with the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan, Inam Karimov. Their discussion covered judicial reforms, digitalization of the judicial system and strengthening alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
