Commissioner Sargodha Division, Hafiz Shaukat Ali, conducted a two-hour visit to review the “Suthra Punjab Program” and ongoing development projects in the city.
During the visit, he carried out a detailed inspection of various areas including Kabari Bazaar, Islam Pura, Gul Wala, and New Satellite Town. He assessed the cleanliness situation and directly sought feedback from citizens. Residents generally expressed satisfaction over the performance, while also offering suggestions for improvement at certain locations.
The Commissioner directed the concerned officers to further strengthen the sanitation system, ensure daily monitoring, and take immediate action based on public complaints and identification of issues.
He also reviewed the ongoing development works of WASA under the Chief Minister Punjab’s Mega City Project. The Commissioner instructed that all manholes across the city must be securely covered. WASA officials informed him that 3,000 covers have already been purchased and most of the work has been completed.
