The Sajjada Nashin of Astana Aaliya Mitha Tiwana Sharif, Sahibzada Qazi Sheikh Ahmed, has said that the holy month of Ramadan is a period of boundless mercy, blessings, and forgiveness from Allah Almighty, bringing a practical lesson of self-purification, patience, piety, brotherhood, and compassion for the believers.
He expressed these views while addressing a gathering at Jamia Masjid Qazi Sahib on the topic “Virtues of Ramadan.” He stated that Ramadan is the sacred month in which the Holy Qur’an was revealed, and every moment of it is filled with blessings and divine grace. Fasting trains a person to endure hunger and thirst, cultivating patience, tolerance, and selflessness, while prayers, recitation of the Holy Qur’an, and remembrance of Allah lead to spiritual growth and enlightenment.
Sahibzada Qazi Sheikh Ahmed urged that during this blessed month, people should increase their acts of worship, extend help to the needy and underprivileged, and promote brotherhood, tolerance, and love within society. He added that Ramadan teaches discipline, honesty, and mutual respect, and by adhering to these principles, an ideal Islamic society can be established.
He further emphasized that the public should especially engage in self-accountability during this month, eliminate grudges from their hearts, and demonstrate unity by setting aside mutual differences. He concluded with a prayer that Allah Almighty grants everyone the ability to attain the true blessings of Ramadan and to act upon its teachings.
