Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry, visited various centers of the Nigahban Ramzan Bazaar, Model Rehri Bazaar, and the “Maryam Ke Mehman Dastarkhwan” in Sargodha.
During the visit, the Commissioner reviewed the availability, official price lists, and quality of essential food items at both bazaars. He also obtained direct feedback from shoppers. Prices of vegetables, fruits, flour, sugar, and other daily necessities were checked, and strict instructions were issued that overcharging beyond the officially fixed rates would not be tolerated.
The Commissioner further inspected the “Maryam Ke Mehman Dastarkhwan” set up at Dr. Faisal Masood Teaching Hospital and the General Bus Stand. He examined the quality of food, iftar boxes, and cleanliness arrangements at the sites. Directions were given to ensure food quality and transparent distribution.
The Commissioner made it clear that regular monitoring of Ramzan bazaars and Dastarkhwan centers will continue to ensure genuine relief is provided to citizens during the holy month.
