Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has made the best possible arrangements to facilitate local and international journalists in Islamabad for coverage of the US-Iran peace talks.
In a special talk at the media centre established at the Convention Centre in Islamabad today, Attaullah Tarar said that, to facilitate international journalists, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has already announced visa-on-arrival for all media personnel.
He said around fifty journalists have already arrived in Pakistan, while more are expected to reach soon to cover this historic event.
He said that, besides journalists from the United States and Iran, media representatives from other countries, including China, Japan, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Korea, have also reached Islamabad to cover the talks.
Attaullah Tarar said the the media centre is equipped with high-speed internet, large screens, and all essential equipment required by media personnel.
Speaking on the occasion, Federal Secretary Information and Broadcasting Ashfaq Ahmed Khalil termed it a historic day for Pakistan to host the US-Iran peace talks.
He said the Ministry’s vision was to provide seamless and high-quality facilities to international media at a centralized location, enabling journalists to perform their duties under the best possible conditions.
