The Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Niazi Medical & Dental College Sargodha organized its Second International Conference, attended by a large number of gynaecology experts, senior physicians, faculty members, and medical students from across the country.
The conference focused on the sensitive and significant issue of infertility in reproductive health. Detailed discussions were held on its rising prevalence, underlying causes, challenges in timely diagnosis, and modern treatment approaches.
The conference was patronized by Chairman Board of Directors Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Niazi, while Principal and Head of the Institution, Professor Dr. S. Haider Raza, also attended. The event was organized under the leadership of Professor Dr. Saima Qureshi, Head of the Department of Gynecology.
During the scientific sessions, various experts presented their research findings. Interactive discussions and Q&A sessions were also held, providing valuable learning opportunities for participants.
The panel of experts included Professor Dr. Nusrat Javed Awan, Professor Dr. Samar Amin, Professor Dr. Riaz Ahmed, and Professor Dr. Saadia Saleem. Prominent speakers included Professor Dr. Arshad Chauhan, Professor Dr. Ayesha Malik, Dr. Noreen Javed, Dr. Saeeda Bano, Dr. Nadia Sharif, and Dr. Nabeela Iram, who delivered detailed lectures on infertility, uterine diseases, ovarian disorders, and reproductive tract complications.
The chief guest, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. S. Shoaib Hussain Shah, emphasized the importance of modern medical research, promotion of medical education, and the role of such academic gatherings in addressing reproductive health challenges.
Awareness sessions were also conducted during the conference with the collaboration of pharmaceutical companies.
Dr. Ayesha Zahoor managed student registrations, while the administrative team included Dr. Nadia Basit, Dr. Iqra Khalid, and Dr. Farheen Zahra. Dr. Sadaf Kanwal served as the conference coordinator.
At the conclusion of the conference, certificates were distributed among participants, and a commitment was expressed to continue organizing such academic programs to promote awareness, research, and modern treatment in reproductive health.
