Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi said that world’s youngest mountaineer Shehroze Kashif is our national hero and our youngsters must take inspiration from him; he said this during his meeting with Shehroze Kashif at National Hockey Stadium on Saturday.

Shehroze Kashif, who is also Sports Board Punjab’s Goodwill Ambassador, will leave to scale famous peaks – Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum-1 and Gasherbrum-2 in a few days’ time.

Shehroze, who has so far climbed 7 out of the 14 highest peaks in the world, expressed his confidence to scale the remaining top peaks in near future.

Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi said Shehroze is an asset of our country, who waved the Pakistan flag on the world’s highest peaks several times. “Shehroze is a true role model for the younger generation,” he added.

Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi said Shehroze really did immense hard work and learned the techniques and skills of mountaineering at such a young age. “We are quite hopeful that Shehroze will annex many more accolades for the country in future,” he anticipated.
