Adviser on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira has directed the authorities concerned to operationalize the newly constructed air mix LPG plant in Gilgit to ensure supply of gas to the people.
He was chairing meeting of officials of the Ministry and Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited in Islamabad today.
The Adviser said the LPG plant will also enable protection of forests and environment in Gilgit-Baltistan as reliance on wood as fuel will decrease.
Briefing the meeting about the newly constructed plant, the officials concerned said the plant will benefit 14 thousand domestic consumers of Gilgit-Baltistan.
