All Parties Hurriyat Conference has appealed the United Nations and international human rights organizations to pressure India to release all Kashmiri political detainees including Hurriyat leaders incarcerated in jails of India and Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC spokesman expressed serious concern over the plight of Kashmiri political detainees.
He deplored that India is victimizing the Kashmiri prisoners for challenging its illegal occupation over their homeland and denying them basic facilities like hygienic food and medical care.
The spokesman pointed out that despite subjecting them to physical and mental torture, the Indian authorities have failed to subdue the Kashmiri detainees’ commitment to the freedom struggle.
Meanwhile, Indian troops continued their cordon and search operations in Shopian, Islamabad, and Baramulla districts.
APHC-AJK leaders have expressed solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine during an event in Islamabad.
They maintained that Kashmiris have the right to resist foreign occupations.
On the other hand, the Congress party has demanded a white paper on the Pulwama incident after the stunning revelations made by former Governor of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Satya Pal Malik.
