In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops arrested over 30 civilians including women during the ongoing cordon and search operation in Poonch, Rajouri and Reasi districts, which entered its fifth consecutive day, today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian army and paramilitary forces launched the operation on Thursday after an attack on an Indian army vehicle which killed five troops in Bhata Dhurian in Poonch.
The troops are using drones, military helicopters and sniffer dogs in the operation.
Indian army officials have claimed that the attackers who ambushed the army truck decamped with the soldiers’ weapons.
Indian Army summoned members of Gujjar and Bakarwal communities and village heads, living in border areas, in its camps in the name of questioning about the attackers.
Meanwhile, people hoisted the green flag with crescent during different events held in Bhadarwah, Doda and Ramban districts of Jammu region on Eid day.
The participants reaffirmed the pledge on the occasion to stand with the Kashmir freedom movement, through thick and thin.
A collective prayer was offered for the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir from the brutal clutches of tyrant India.
On the other hand, more than half a million members of Sikh community carrying Khalistan flag gathered in Surrey, Canada. The participants who had gathered for Vaisakhi Parade raised pro-Khalistan slogans on the occasion.
All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly condemned the gross human rights violations by Occupation forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
In a message from New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail, Senior jailed APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah urged the United Nations, European Union and rest of the civilized world to take India to task for being involved in war crimes in the territory.
Shabbir Ahmad Shah while demanding the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination said that people of Jammu and Kashmir’s resolve for freedom could not be weakened through arrests and harassment.
He termed the G-20 meeting scheduled in Srinagar in last week of May a violation of International laws as Jammu and Kashmir is a recognized disputed territory under the UN resolutions.
He said India has kept the entire population of the territory hostage through military might.
Shabbir Ahmad Shah maintained that resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions is imperative to create an atmosphere for cordial relations between Pakistan and India and to establish permanent peace in South Asia.
He said it is the responsibility of the world community particularly United Nations to put pressure on New Delhi to peacefully settle the Kashmir dispute according to the will of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
