Rescue operation of the Pakistan Army to get back people trapped in a chairlift in Battagram, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is continuing at a fast pace and the military is likely to carry on its efforts even if night approaches.

General Officer Commanding the Special Services Group personally left for the site to directly monitor and supervise the rescue efforts.

It is pertinent to mention that a team of the Pakistan Army and SSG is going to make another effort for the rescue operation. This has become a very difficult operation as there is another wire above 30 feet of the lift, which can collide with the helicopter and that is why utmost care is being taken.

Besides, different options to continue the operation in the darkness of the night are also under consideration.
