Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif says entire nation is united against terrorists and security forces are rendering unprecedented sacrifices for peace and stability in the country.

Talking to media in Sialkot today, he said martyrs are our real heroes who sacrificed their lives to safeguard the motherland.

The Defence Minister strongly condemned cowardly attack by terrorists in Mir Ali area of  North Waziristan district.

He also condemned social media campaign by some elements against martyrs and said there is a need for unity in the war against terrorism.

Answering the question, he said Pakistan is passing through an economic crisis and one political party has written a letter to the International Monetary Fund, which is regrettable.

The Minister said that the government is determined to steer the country out of economic crisis and put it on the path of progress and development.

To a question, he regretted that Afghanistan’s soil is being used for terrorism in Pakistan.

He said that some facilitators have been traced, and Pakistan has raised the issue with  Afghanistan government.

He said those people who do not have valid documents would not be allowed to live in Pakistan.
