The Senate congratulated today Arshad Nadeem for winning Gold Medal for Pakistan in Men’s Javelin Throw contest.
In his remarks, Deputy Chairman Syedaal Khan Nasar said the House will arrange a dinner in the honor of Arshad Nadeem for making the entire nation proud. He said the great son of the soil will also be awarded with prizes.
Taking the floor, Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar said the government is committed to provide every possible facility for the promotion of sports in the country.
Paying glowing tribute to Arshad Nadeem on winning the Gold Medal, he said the youth of the country should get inspiration from this great achievement.
The House was informed that a total of fifty-seven Trade and Investment officers are posted at Pakistan’s Trade Mission across the globe.
In response to a question raised in the House, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar said during the selection process of Trade and Investment Officers, transparency and merit was ensured.
He said the selection process was made strictly in accordance with the policy guidelines for selection.
The House was prorogued.
