
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the ‘School on Wheels’ project to enhance literacy rate in the province.
She gave the approval while chairing a meeting in Lahore on Sunday.
The School on Wheels project will provide education in the far off and difficult to reach areas of the province. Electric Rickshaws will be used for the project with solar panels installed on their roofs. Children getting education under this project will be provided with books and educational toys.
Meanwhile, the Education Department will also launch the Library on Wheels project. Mini Vans will be used for this project which will be parked at any place.
