King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center of Saudi Arabia has dispatched a big convoy carrying relief goods for flood affected people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

A ceremony in this connection was held in Islamabad today (Wednesday), which was attended by Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Rana Sanaullah, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Nawaf Bin Said Al- Maliki, Director King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center Abdullah Al-Baqami, representatives of National Disaster Management Authority and other concerned authorities.

The relief goods included ten thousand Shelter Kits, and ten thousand Food Packages.

The Shelter Kits contain Solar Panels with LED lights, blankets, plastic mats, kitchen sets, water coolers and soaps.

The Food Packages included wheat flour, sugar, cooking oil, pulses and other edibles.

The relief goods were handed over the National Disaster Management Authority.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Rana Sanaullah thanked the Saudi government for helping Pakistan during testing times. He said the gesture of giving relief goods by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center for the flood victims is a testament of exemplary friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

In his remarks, Ambassador Nawaf Bin Said Al Maliki expressed deep sorrow on behalf of the Saudi government over the loss of life and property due to floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He reaffirmed solidarity with the flood-affected population and assured them of all possible assistance.

The sending of relief goods to flood affected areas reflects the continued commitment of Saudi Arabia through King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center to extend humanitarian assistance to Pakistan. Over the years, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center launched numerous projects across Pakistan in food security, health, education, and disaster response.

This initiative will further deepening the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
