
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has reaffirmed the government’s strong commitment to supporting flood-affected families and ensuring their rehabilitation.
He was speaking at a briefing in Toba Tek Singh. The Finance Minister was informed that nearly 80 villages were inundated and residents relocated to safety. He visited Mill Fatyana Bridge to review relief efforts, praised rescue teams, and directed faster response.
Speaking to the media, he expressed satisfaction over electricity bill adjustments and said the government is facilitating traders and investors to stabilize the economy. He emphasized that all major economic decisions will involve provincial governments in consultation process.
He appreciated the government’s handling of the flood emergency and stressed the need for damage assessment before rehabilitation begins. He warned against artificial inflation and announced that a relief package for farmers will be announced soon.
