Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar says Pakistan expects Taliban Government to take concrete measures against terrorist elements and their perpetrators that wish to derail Pak-Afghan relations.
In a social media post on X, he expressed deep concern over the developments on Pak-Afghan border. He said unprovoked firing and raids along Pak-Afghan border by the Taliban Government is a serious provocation.
Ishaq Dar said Pakistan’s befitting response and strikes are against Taliban infrastructure and to neutralize Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan terrorist elements operating from Afghan soil.
He said Pakistan’s defensive response is not targeted towards peace loving Afghan civilian population. He said, unlike Taliban Forces, Pakistan is exercising extreme caution in its defensive responses to avoid loss of civilian lives.
The Deputy Prime Minister said Pakistan will take all possible measures to defend its own territory, sovereignty and its people.
